The ISHTA Centre brings together many disciplines in complimentary therapies. All therapists hold recognised qualifications and are available for consultation at the Centre by appointment. The Centre also runs courses, talks and seminars throughout the year, admission to the talks is usually free with an opportunity to meet and ask therapist about their discipline. Because of the range of therapies on offer at the ISHTA Centre you can be sure of receiving one which suits you. The therapists work together to ensure that their clients are offered treatments which compliment and enhance each other. Often this approach results in more immediate effects and eases the healing process. Psychotherapy and hypnotherapy is now on offer at the Centre. Hypnotherapy can help us accept positive suggestions of health and happiness. The state brings about relaxation in both the mind and the body, allowing tension and stress to drift away. It can also help us cope with fears and phobias, smoking, alcohol and drug abuse. Many people find it helps combat lack of confidence and to seek out the root cause of depression and anxiety. And people with sleep problems can find out the causes and sleep naturally without artificial aids. Stress can manifest itself in physical conditions, asthma, migraine and, irritable bowel, hypnotherapy can be used to treat such cases. The Centre has two courses starting in September in Meditation and in Aromatherapy. In the Meditation course different techniques are taught which will help you to relax, learn to meditate and use the power of visualisation. The course runs for four weeks on Wednesday evenings for one hour. The Aromatherapy course runs over five weeks on Monday evenings and will introduce you to the relaxing and therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy for your own use and to help your friends and family. The course tutor is qualified aromatherapist and Ishta centre therapist, Claire Lee LLSA MISPA. Each 2 hour session will include factual information and plenty of hands-on (literally!) practice. You will learn: - about aromatic oils and their properties - detailed information about a selection of the most useful essential oils - how to use essential oils at home for friends and family - how to blend the oils and use them in simple ways - some simple relaxing massage techniques Take control of your health and well-being. At the ISHTA Centre you find the help you need to reach and maintain that health and well-being which can make such a difference to enjoying life.
